WKU Captains Named For Saturday’s Contest At Louisiana-Monroe
Harbison, Gaebler, Moore and Jakes lead Hilltoppers this weekend when they visit the Warhawks.

Bowling Green, Ky. - Seniors L.J. Harbison, Jake Gaebler and Jeremy Moore, and redshirt freshman Kawaun Jakes have been named team captains for Saturday's Western Kentucky University football game at Louisiana-Monroe.

Harbison has recorded 13 total tackles in six games this season. The linebacker from Edmonton, Ky., has also produced a tackles for loss and also recorded an interception.

Gaebler, a Mundelein, Ill, product, became WKU's all-time receptions leader last week against Troy. He hauled in a team-high five receptions for 57 yards, breaking Curtis Hamilton's record of 149 career catches in the process. Gaebler enters this week's game with 153 career catches. This season, he leads the Hilltoppers with 28 catches for 279 yards and three touchdowns.

Moore continues to put up impressive punting numbers in his final season on the Hill. The Indianapolis, Ind., native ranks first in the Sun Belt and 15th in the nation averaging 43.8 yard per kick. Nine of his 44 punts on the year have traveled more than 50 yards - including three that have traveled a career-long 56 yards. He has also dropped seven punts inside the opposition's 20-yard line.

In his first year at quarterback, Jakes is leading the Hilltoppers with 167.6 yards of total offense per game. He has completed 99 of 161 passes for 1,061 yards and eight touchdowns, while also rushing for 280 yards and five scores. The St. Augustine, Fla., product had one of his best games last week against Troy, rushing for a career-high 121 yards, and completing 19 of 34 passes for 185 yards. He also accounted for two touchdowns against the Trojans - running for one and throwing for another.
