Nick Mulliken wore several hats with Bowling Green boys basketball, filling in whereever coach D.G. Sherrill asked him to.
Now he'll be asked to do the same at the collegiate level.
Mulliken signed Thursday with Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, becoming Winston Bennett's first signee as Cougar head coach.
MCU plays NAIA Division 1 basketball in the Trans South Athletic Conference.
Mulliken will play for a coach with plenty of credibility, too.
Bennett was 1983 Kentucky Mr. Basketball at Male High in Louisville and scored 1,399 points at the University of Kentucky before the Cleveland Cavaliers made him the 14th pick of the third round (64th overall) in the 1988 NBA Draft.
