Phat Kaps entered the final day of the Dirt Bowl needing to win back to back games to win their second Dirt Bowl title in four years. Mission accomplished.
Phat Kaps opened the day with a 70-53 victory over Joy. The loss eliminated Joy from the tournament while the win vaulted Phat Kaps to the championship game, where they would meet then undefeated We All Can Go.
We All Can Go jumped out to an early lead, but Phat Kaps would rally, thanks in part to the play of O'Dell Bradley. Bradley nailed a three-pointer early in the first half to give Phat Kaps a 10-9 lead. They never looked back, taking the Dirt Bowl title by a final score of 76-69, denying We All Can Go from winning the second straight Dirt Bowl.
Bradley scored 19 points in the victory and was named Tournament MVP. Former Kentucky Wildcat Antwain Barbour scored ten points for We All Can Go in a losing effort.
