Being projected among the top ten picks in the 2008 NFL Draft brings some credibility to a player's resume. Now University of Kentucky quarterback Andre' Woodson's putting that credibility to good use.
Woodson's been selected as a guest coach at the EA Sports Elite 11 quarterback camp in California next week. He joins five other college QBs in helping with the camp, including Heisman Trophy hopefuls Colt Brennan (Hawai'i) and Chad Henne (Michigan).
“It’s a chance to help the guys with their footwork, where to position the ball, where to release the ball, things like that,” Woodson said in a release. “We watch film with them and give them tips on what to look for and what plays work. It’s also a chance to build relationships with the other quarterbacks.”
Woodson attended the camp following his junior year at North Hardin High in Radcliff. Among the other campers that year: 2007 No. 1 overall NFL draft pick JaMarcus Russell (Oakland Raiders/LSU) and 2007 national champion Chris Leak (Florida).
The camp runs July 22-24.
