BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Ty Rogers' buzzer-beater is still making waves. The shot that sent the 12th-seeded WKU Hilltoppers past 14th-ranked Drake 101-99 in overtime of the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament has been selected by ESPN's SportsNation as one of the top 16 buzzer-beaters in NCAA Tournament history. Fans will determine the winner of the 16-team seeded field by logging onto http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/buzzerbeaters and voting for each of the eight "first round match-ups".
Rogers' shot is seeded seventh and is facing off against Bryce Drew's (Valparaiso) game winner over Ole Miss in 1998. WKU advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2008, the seventh in the school's history.
SportsNation will air a buzzer-beater special on Monday, March 15 at 6:00 PM CT on ESPN2, in which all 16 candidates will be showcased, eventually revealing the best buzzer-beater of all time, as determined by fan voting.
