NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Titans' last draft pick to sign his contract got a big Tennessee welcome at training camp this afternoon. They wrapped up his first practice by making him sprint while his teammates watching.
Coach Jeff Fisher ordered the Titans to the goal line, then had Michael Griffin start running. Out to the 5 and back, then to the 10 and back, then to the 15 until he worked his way all the way out to the 40 and finished.
The 19th pick overall out of Texas agreed to his five-year contract late yesterday afternoon.
He was not able to begin practice until the afternoon because he was waiting for the NFL to approve the language in his deal.
Coach Jeff Fisher said Griffin looked good even with the running that's become tradition for any holdouts.
