The Courier-Journal reported on its website Wednesday that Kentucky men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie's set to complete his staff with Illinois assistant Tracy Webster.

Webster resigned from his post with the Illini Wednesday.

The hiring of Webster would ostensibly improve UK's recruiting profile in the Chicago area, where Webster focused with Illinois and in previous stints at Purdue and Ball State.

The Wildcats already have a commitment from Chicago native DeAndre Liggins, a guard in the class of 2008.

The hiring could improve the Wildcats' chances with Mason County star Darius Miller as well - Webster had been recruiting the Kentucky Mr. Basketball candidate to Champaign.
