Nine Logan County turnovers went a long way in helping Metcalfe County improve to 3-0. The Hornets rolled in their 48-7 victory over the Cougars.

Senior running back Jeffrey White continued his impressive play Friday night, rushing 18 times for 122 yards and four touchdowns. White also had a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second half.

Quarterback Will Warf also had a nice night for the Hornets. He finished 15-of-24 passing for 157 yards, including a 22 yard touchdown strike to Aaron Miller.

The Cougars kept it close for two quarters, trailing 21-7 at halftime. Their lone score came in the first quarter off a 61-yard touchdown pass from Thomas Washington to Andrew Bunton. Logan County's offense struggled from then on, throwing four interceptions and losing five fumbles.

The Hornets (3-0) host Edmonson County next week while the Cougars (1-2) travel to Todd County Central.
