Between a home opener, homecoming and its head coach acheiving a milestone, Bowling Green showed a flair for the dramatic Friday night.

The Purples took an 8-0 lead after its first possession, then beat North Hardin into submission 36-6, giving Kevin Wallace his record 120th victory as Bowling Green head coach.

Trent Steelman led the Purples in the homecoming victory, completing 22-of-27 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns. All three scores came to highly-touted receiver D.L. Moore, who caught nine balls for 176 yards on the night.

The night was truly a dominant one for the Purples, who outgained the Trojans 404-170.

Bowling Green (2-1) pays a visit to upstart Greenwood next week, while North Hardin (0-3) opens play in Class 6A, District 2 at Nelson County.
