Butler County scored 43 unanswered points in a 36-point rout of Adair County.
The Bears were led by quarterback Jesse Stivers, who completed seven passes for 187 yards and scored three touchdowns. Butler County's running was just as potent. Jason Byrd rushed for 100 yards and scored twice on runs of 54 and 22 yards.
It was Adair County, though, that struck first. Senior Daniel Morgan scored from 11 yards out to give the Indians an early 7-0 lead. However, Butler tied the game at 7-7 before halftime and never looked back. The Bears offense outgained the Indians 323 to 251.
The Bears (2-1, 1-0 Class 3A District 2) travel to Hart County next week while the Indians (0-3, 0-1) meet Russellville.
