Warren East raced to a 14-0 lead through one quarter, extended that margin to 27-0 by halftime and cruised to a 44-6 win Friday over Allen County-Scottsville.
The Raiders offense lived up to its billing. The unit came in considered one of the best in the state, ranking first in scoring offense and passing offense in Class 4A while senior quarterback Jordan Ellis came in ranked first in passing yardage with three receivers (DeAngelo Kirk, Demetric Ray and Jon Yates) ranked among the ten best in the class.
Ellis threw for four scores Friday, boosting his 2007 total to 12.
East (4-0, 1-0 Class 4A District 2) heads on the road to Franklin-Simpson for another district affair next week, while the Patriots (0-4, 0-1) visit Westmoreland (TN) September 28th.
