Mobile, Ala. - Junior Megan Argabright finished with a match high 17 kills and Aquila Orr added 13 as the Western Kentucky University volleyball team extended its winning streak to a season-high five matches with a three-game sweep (30-26, 30-17, 30-21) over South Alabama Saturday afternoon at Jag Gym.

The win improved the Lady Toppers to 13-3 on the year and 2-0 in the Sun Belt Conference, while the Jaguars fell to 5-7 and 0-2 in the league.

The Lady Toppers got off to a slow start in game one as neither club led by more than two points for most of the game. In fact, USA used a 3-0 run late in the game to open up a 24-21 lead on a Lauren Robbins block. After trading points, the Jaguars led 26-23 after a Hristina Markova kill, but a kill by Julia Noe started a 7-0 Lady Topper run to close out the game as WKU came from behind for the 30-26 game-one victory.

The Lady Toppers - who recorded 18 kills in each of the three games – hit just .275 in the second game, but they limited the Jaguars to just eight kills and a match-low .025 hitting percentage on their way to to a 13-point victory and a two-game lead in the match.

After trading points early on in game three, WKU jumped out to an 8-3 lead thanks to a Kelly Potts service ace. The Lady Toppers would not trail the rest of the way and did not allow USA to get any closer than four points the rest of the way. After South Alabama cut the WKU lead to 25-21 on a block by Jenna Swilley, a kill by Orr sparked a 5-0 game-ending run as the Jags committed four straight attack errors to close out the game and give the Lady Toppers the three-game victory.

Defensively, Noe added a match-high 13 kills go go along with 44 assists for WKU. Markova finished with a team-high 10 kills for USA, while Shannon VanAntwerp added 11 digs.
