BOWLING GREEN, Ky Western Kentucky senior linebacker Andrew Jackson is suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.
“Andrew did not meet the expectations we put forth every week for all of our players," said WKU head coach Bobby Petrino in a statement released Wednesday night. "There are certain conditions in place for him to meet before he returns to the team, and if he meets those conditions, he will be welcomed back for the Army game.”
A source tells WBKO the suspension is not a drug-related issue or an academic issue.
Jackson ranks second on the team in tackles and third in tackles for loss. Sophomore Daqual Randall is expected to start in Jackson's place Saturday against the Panthers.
