Bowling Green, Ky. – A rain system that moved slowly across the area forced the postponement of Tuesday night’s opener between the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) and Lake County Captains (Cleveland Indians). The two squads will play a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 12:05 p.m. CT, and both will be seven-inning efforts.
Game one will begin at 12:05 p.m. CT with gates opening up at 11 a.m. CT at Bowling Green Ballpark. Game two will follow shortly after game one concludes. Jake Faria (3-3, 3.27) and Ryne Stanek (3-3, 3.53) will take the mound for the Hot Rods, who are looking to build on their second-half opening split with Lansing. Fans who had tickets to Tuesday night’s game can redeem it for any remaining Hot Rods game in the 2014 regular season, excluding Saturday, July 26.
Wednesday afternoon will be games one and two of a three-game series with Lake County. Splash Day will be celebrated at the ballpark Wednesday, so fans can take a break from the heat and enjoy an afternoon at the ballpark. The homestand wraps up on a 96.7 WBVR – The Beaver Thirsty Thursday.
