Both Warren East Basketball Coaches Resign

BOWLING GREEN,Ky. - The Warren East Raiders had not one but both basketball coaches resign on the same day.

Casey Simpson and Aaron Richmond both cited personal reasons for their resignations.

In five years, Simpson compiled a 61-77 record including a 51-32 record the last three seasons.

In an email sent out by Warren East Athletic Director Jonathan Vincent, he writes,"Warren East appreciates all Coach Simpson has strived to accomplish as our basketball coach for the last five years. He has been instrumental in changing the culture of our boys’ program, as well as getting students interested in playing basketball while having three straight winning seasons."

In her three seasons as coach of the Lady Raiders, Richmond had a record of 10-78. In an email sent out by Vincent, he writes,"Warren East appreciates the hard work and dedication Coach Richmond has given the girls’ program over the last three years as our head coach."
