LEXINGTON, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Bowling Green Purples held on down the stretch during their first round game of the Boy's Sweet Sixteen.
The Purples led Knott County Central at the half 32-24 after closing the period on a 9-2 run.
Knott County Central tied the game at the buzzer of the 3rd quarter.
In the final three minutes, Bowling Green took a two possession lead and never looked back.
The 4th Region champion defeated Knox County Central by a final of 65-58.
Bowling Green will play McCracken County Friday at 5:30 PM Central Time.
