LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Teddy Bridgewater has been named the American Athletic Conference's offensive player of the week.
The Louisville quarterback had five touchdowns against Ohio on Sunday. He got the No. 9 Cardinals rolling in a 49-7 rout by completing his first nine passes and finished 23 of 28 for 355 yards with an interception. The junior threw four first-half touchdowns and tied his career high for single-game TDs.
Last season's Big East offensive player of the year now has 13 consecutive games with at least one TD pass.
Louisville senior linebacker Preston Brown was mentioned in the AAC's weekly honor roll after recording a team-high nine tackles and helping the Cardinals hold Ohio to just 81 yards rushing and 273 total.
