Bowling Green, KY – The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, announce that 2B Tommy Coyle has been named the Rays Minor League Player of the Month for June.
The Rays also honored 2010-2011 Hot Rod and current Durham Bull LHP C.J. Riefenhauser as their Minor League Pitcher of the Month.
Coyle, a native of Chalfont, PA, hit .329 in June with four home runs, eight doubles, and 20 runs batted in. A 16th round pick by the Rays in the 2012 June draft of North Carolina, Coyle also managed a .441 on-base percentage in the month and was one of nine Hot Rods named to the 2013 Eastern Division All-Star squad.
