BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU sophomores George Fant and T.J. Price were named Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference performers, and the Hilltoppers were picked to finish third in the conference's east division, announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Voting was done by the league's head coaches and announced in conjunction with conference media day activities.

Fant was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team, and Price was named to the third team. Only one other underclassman earned one of the 15 spots on the preseason teams, and that is Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year Tony Mitchell of North Texas on the first team.

The Hilltoppers earned 47 points in the preseason coaches' poll to rank third in the east division behind Middle Tennessee and South Alabama. The Blue Raiders and North Texas were unanimous selections for the top spots in their respective divisions.

WKU finished the 2011-12 season with a 7-9 record in league play, good for third place in the east division, and WKU returns four starters and nine letterwinners from that squad this season. WKU captured the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship to advance to its 22nd NCAA Tournament, where it won a game for the third-straight time in the Big Dance.

Since the Sun Belt Conference began recognizing three postseason all-conference teams with the 2002-03 season, WKU has had at least one first-team member at the end of the year in nine of the 10 seasons.

In addition, the conference office announced that two Hilltopper games will be televised on the Sun Belt Network. WKU's February 23 game at Louisiana-Lafayette will air at 7:30 PM on Sun Belt Network, and the regular-season finale against Middle Tennessee on March 2 will be televised by the Sun Belt Network at 5:30 PM.

WKU plays the first of two preseason exhibition games Monday night at 7:00, when it welcomes Campbellsville (Ky.) to E.A. Diddle Arena. The Hilltoppers conclude the exhibition slate on Saturday, November 3 at home against Kentucky Wesleyan at 7:00 PM.

Season and single-game tickets for the 2012-13 season are on sale now and can be purchased online at or by calling the WKU Ticket Office at 1-800-5-BIG RED or 745-5222 locally.
