Bowling Green, Ky. - High school football coaching legend Dan Haley has died at 73.
Haley compiled a 253-79-3 record in his 29-year career at Bryan Station, Paducah Tilghman, and Bowling Green. He coached the Purples from 1984 to 1995, guiding the program to its first state title in his final year. Haley also won a state title at Paducah Tilghman.
Haley served as an assistant coach at Morehead State, Western Kentucky, and was a head coach at the University of the Cumberlands.
Haley was inducted in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2007.
