BOWLING GREEN, Ky, (WBKO) -- The Warren Central Dragon football team has added some SEC and Big 12 coaching experience to it's staff.
Guy Morriss, former University of Kentucky and Baylor head football coach has joined the Dragons staff. He will coach the offensive line.
Morriss coached at UK from 1997-2002.
He was head coach at Baylor from 2003-2007.
Morriss began his career at Texas Christian University before joining the NFL where he played for both the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots.
He was an All Pro center for the Eagles when they played the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XV.
Superintendent, Rob Clayton is excited to welcome someone of such caliber to WCPS and says, “It’s an honor to welcome Guy Morriss to the Warren Central community. This is a wonderful opportunity for our kids to have someone with his expertise and experience on the sidelines. It also speaks volumes about Coach Feggins’ ability to attract such a high caliber collegiate football coach to Warren Central. I recall Coach Morriss’ days at UK, and what impressed me the most were the comments from his players. They expressed a genuine love and respect for him as both a coach and a mentor.”
Current Warren Central Head Coach Howard Feggins was a member of the Patriots while Coach Morris was an assistant.
