BOWLING GREEN, Ky - Western Kentucky head coach Ray Harper questioned the Hilltoppers' maturity following their 69-62 loss to South Alabama Saturday night.
After the loss, senior George Fant admitted the Jaguars simply wanted it more than WKU.
"They got all the 50-50 balls and all the extra rebounds," said Fant. "We slipped up and it’s a tough pill to swallow and now we have to bounce back.”
Harper agreed with Fant and argued the Hilltoppers were not a mature team.
“That’s what I told them it looked like to me," said Harper. "It looked like they wanted to win the basketball game more than they did. If they said that that’s what happened, then it goes back to maturity. We’re not a very mature group.”
