BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The WKU Hilltopper basketball team will begin preseason practice on Monday, October 7, with the first game following 26 days later in an exhibition contest against Campbellsville (Ky.).

"We are trying to create a faster pace and be a little more up-tempo," head coach Ray Harper said about the start of practice. "We are going to identify who we are going to count on early. I don't think there is any position that can feel comfortable right now. It will be good. It will be a lot of guys battling and a lot of competition, which is always good."

The 2013-14 Hilltoppers return four starters and eight letterwinners from a 2012-13 squad that won 20 games and went to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament crown.

Guard T.J. Price and forward George Fant return for their junior seasons in 2013-14, and Price was an All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team performer a season ago while Fant picked up third-team recognition. Price was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the conference tournament in Hot Springs, Ark.
