BOWLING GREEN,Ky. (WBKO) - If you have been following the Hilltoppers during fall camo then you know a big point of emphasis has been getting ready for the Bowling Green State up tempo offense.
The Tops have carved out time in practice to prepare the defense for what they will see.
Defensive Coordinator Nick Holt says his defense is young but now they have no choice but to be ready to stop the Falcons to help the Hilltoppers pull off the win.
"Yea I mean it's about time to play we have had three and a half weeks to prepare and its time to play football. We better be ready it's gametime and start of the season and we're excited," Holt said.
"We have to remember we're young and young at a lot of spots and a lot of these guys have not played in a game and they're going to take some time to get adjusted but we'll be okay when its all said and done we'll play hard and be ready to hit people. You know that's kind of our personality and hopefully we make them work for a lot of things and not give up the big play and tackle really well in space and we'll see how it goes," he said.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 pm.
