BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU begins the defense of its 2012 Sun Belt Conference Tournament crown Friday night at 6:00 in Hot Springs, Ark., against 11th-seeded ULM.

The Hilltoppers earned the sixth seed in the tournament after finishing the regular season with a 10-10 mark in conference play and winning three of its last four games. WKU and ULM have met just once previously in Sun Belt Conference Tournament play, with the Hilltoppers earning a 66-50 win in the first round of the 2011 tournament in Hot Springs.

WKU returns to the site of its historic run to the 2012 conference tournament title, where the Hilltoppers won four games in four days as the seventh seed to win the championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament, meaning the last two Sun Belt Conference Tournament champions have won four games over four days.

WKU has won at least one tournament game in its last eight tournaments, and the Hilltoppers are 8-5 all-time in the first round.
