BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — A cold-shooting night in all facets doomed the WKU Hilltoppers on the road at Bowling Green State Monday night, 74-62. The loss drops WKU to 4-3 on the season, and Bowling Green State improves to 3-4.
T.J. Price led WKU with 24 points, and George Fant and Ben Lawson each added 11. Spencer Parker paced Bowling Green State with 20 points.

WKU trailed 36-34 at the half, but the Hilltoppers fought back from a nine-point deficit as the break approached. After scoring the first nine points of the game the Hilltoppers hit a drought and fell behind by the same margin with 7:33 to play. A three-point play by Fant tied the game at 34, before Anthony Henderson made a pair of free throws for the Falcons in the final minutes of the half.
T. Price led the Hilltoppers with 11 first-half points, and Fant and Lawson added eight each. the Hilltoppers finished the half shooting 44.8 percent from the field (13-for-29) and outrebounded the Falcons 21-16. Bowling Green State was paced by Craig Sealey's 11 points.
Bowling Green State scored the first 15 points of the second half to jump out to a 51-34 lead six minutes into the half. From there, WKU got within 10 points at 55-45 and again at 63-53, and WKU found itself within nine points at 71-62 with 1:04 left after a Brandon Price three-pointer. But the Falcons made their free throws shots down the stretch en route to the 74-62 victory.
WKU finished the game shooting 34.4 percent from the floor (21-for-61), 30.8 percent from the three-point line (8-for-26) and 44.4 percent from the foul line (12-for-27). WKU was outrebounded for the first time this season, 42-39.
The Hilltoppers return to the road Saturday afternoon at 3:05 at Southern Illinois. The game against the Salukis will be televised by the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network, airing nationally on ESPN3 and regionally on WBNA in Louisville and WKU PBS in the Bowling Green area, with ESPN Full Court clearance to be determined in the coming days. It will also be broadcast on the radio on the Hilltopper IMG Sports Network, airing locally in Bowling Green on WKLX-FM Sam 100.7. Following the game at Southern Illinois, WKU plays at Louisville on Saturday, December 14, before returning home to face Southern Miss on Wednesday, December 18.
