BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — With their third scrimmage on the horizon tomorrow, the WKU Hilltoppers went through their 12th practice of the spring in helmets and shorts on Friday inside Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
Spring football on The Hill is brought to you by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety’s: Don’t Text and Drive Awareness Program. The spring will be capped off by the annual Red and White Spring Game, set for Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m.
Following the practice, offensive coordinator Tyson Helton looked ahead to Saturday’s scrimmage while offensive line coach Neil Callaway addressed his group, one of the returning strengths of the Hilltopper offense.
“We’re getting down to the end of (spring practice) now,” said Helton. “Everyone knows what to do, what we’re running, so we need to see our guys flying around. Players need to make plays.”
On his line, Callaway said, “Overall, I think they are working hard. We have a good group of guys who are committed to doing the right thing.”
WKU will work out again tomorrow, beginning their scrimmage at 8 a.m. inside Houchens-Smith Stadium. All practices are open to the public.
