BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The defending Sun Belt Conference Tournament champion and last season’s league representative to the NCAA Tournament comes to E.A. Diddle Arena Saturday afternoon, as the Hilltoppers break up a stretch of four road games with a 1:00 PM contest against the UALR Trojans.

The Trojans are currently tied for first place in the Sun Belt Conference West Division at 5-1 after being picked to finish fifth in the preseason coaches poll, and the team returns three starters from last year’s team that won four games in four days in Hot Springs and headed to the First Four of the NCAA Tournament.

WKU has defeated UALR in six-straight meetings dating back to the 2006-07 season, and the Hilltoppers are 16-4 at home all-time against the Trojans.

A win on Saturday would end a five-game WKU losing streak and break a stretch that has seen eight losses in the last nine games.

Saturday's game is produced by the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network and will be televised nationally on Fox College Sports and DirecTV channel 617 and locally in Bowling Green on WKYU-PBS. Randy Lee will be doing the play-by-play with Hal Schmitt providing the expert analysis.

The game will be broadcast on the radio on the Hilltopper IMG Sports Network with Lee and Schmitt on the call. WKUSports.com offers a video webcast, audio streaming and live stats for the game.

Hilltopper basketball will be serving free pizza to the first 500 students who enter E.A. Diddle Arena on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Tickets for all WKU men's basketball games in 2011-12 can be purchased online at WKUSports.com or at the WKU Ticket Office in E.A. Diddle Arena. Phone orders can also be placed by calling 1-800-5-BIG RED or 745-5222 locally.
