Hilltoppers Return to the Road for SBC Series at South Alabama

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University baseball team will play its final road games of the regular season beginning Friday with a three-game weekend series at South Alabama. Game times are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

WKU (20-28, 9-12 Sun Belt Conference) enters this weekend tied with Arkansas-Little Rock and Troy for seventh place in the conference. South Alabama (18-30, 12-12) is tied for fourth with Middle Tennessee.

The Hilltoppers are coming off a series loss at Florida Atlantic, picking up a 6-1 victory in the weekend finale. Sophomore infielder Scott Wilcox had three hits with two RBIs and right-hander Justin Hageman allowed one run over a season-best 7-2/3 innings to lead WKU to the win.

All games will be broadcast live on the Big Red Radio Network, and live stats, live video and live audio will be available for all three games as well.

The Hilltoppers close the regular-season with a four-game homestand at Nick Dene Field; starting Tuesday against Eastern Kentucky with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Middle Tennessee then comes to Bowling Green for the final series, May 17-19.
