JUCO Guard Ayinde Sprewell Commits to WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky -- Western Kentucky basketball coach Ray Harper added another piece to his 2014 recruiting class. Daytona State College guard Ayinde Sprewell committed to WKU on Monday.

The six-foot-three, 195-pound shooter averaged 15.1 points and eight rebounds his sophomore season.

Sprewell chose WKU over Rhode Island and is the nephew of former NBA star Latrell Sprewell.

Sprewell becomes the sixth member of the Hilltoppers' 2014 recruiting class joining Henry Clay (Ky.) guard Jordan Green, Perry County Central (Ky.) forward Justin Johnson, Wheeler (Ga.) guard Avery Patterson, ELEV8 Prep Academy (Fla.) guard Derrick Clayton, and Franklin Road Academy's Rob Marberry, who will join the team as a walk-on.
