Kentucky Little League State Championship

BOWLING GREEN,Ky (WBKO) - It was a beautiful day at Ephram Park for the championship of the Kentucky Little League State Tournament.

In the 9 and 10-year-old division Hazard Perry would erase a 6 run deficit after the first inning and claw their way back to a 9 to 7 victory over Bowling Green East.

The 11 and 12-year-old Warren County South team punched their ticket to Indiana after defeating Paintsville 5-2. Charlie Key had five strikeouts in the final two innings to help secure the win. Head Coach Dave Upright said "Charlie took his game to a whole new level today".

Mac Ausbrooks would hit a two run homer to close out the game in the bottom of the fifth inning.

After the win the team was asked what next? they shouted out" WE WANT TO PLAY VS. JAPAN".

Warren County South will now move on to regionals for a shot to play in the Little League World Series.
