Kentucky basketball has three underclassmen entered in next month's NBA Draft - now one is ready to announce whether he'll actually stay in.
Wildcat freshman point guard Brandon Knight will announce his official draft intentions in a press conference Friday morning on the Lexington campus.
The 6-foot-3 Knight is thought to be a sure lottery pick, perhaps even among the top five selections if he stays in the draft. UK coach John Calipari told ESPN.com earlier this week Knight got the confirmation he wanted from NBA teams.
Knight averaged 17.3 points and 4.2 assists in his rookie campaign for the Wildcats, including earning NCAA East Regional MVP honors as UK reached the Final Four.
After Knight's announcement, attention will turn to Wildcat junior guard DeAndre Liggins and freshman forward Terrence Jones. Both have their names entered in the draft; both have only until Sunday to decide whether to stay in.
