BOWLING GREEN, Ky - WKU closes out a three-game homestand by hosting UALR on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in E.A. Diddle Arena.

WKU is off to one of the best starts in program history by winning 14 of its first 17 games. WKU has won at least 14 of its first 17 games for the sixth time in school history. It is the first time since 1994-95 that WKU is 14-3 or better start the season, that squad started the year 16-1.

Entering Thursday's games, WKU is one of four teams in the nation that have already won five additional games or more than they did a year ago. Stony Brook has already increased its win total from four in 2011-12 to a 10-7 record in 2012-13. WKU (9-21 to 14-3), Bucknell (5-25 to 10-7) and Arkansas Pine-Bluff (1-29 to 6-9) each have improved their win total by five games already this season. In addition, first-year head coach Michelle Clark-Heard is one of two coaches in the nation that have led their team to at least 14 wins (through Wednesday's games) as first-year head coaches. The other is Michigan's Kim Barnes-Arico (14-2, 3-0). There are 62 first-year coaches in NCAA Division I this season.

The game marks the second between the Lady Toppers and UALR this season.
