LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A conceptual drawing of a renovated Rupp Arena includes a sleeker look, more seating and an eight-sided scoreboard over the middle of the basketball court.
Gray said the design by planner Gary Bates replaces the outer industrial skin of Rupp Arena with glass, incorporates a new scoreboard, adds lower arena and premium seats and opens an entrance off Triangle Park.
He said a task force charged with making recommendations about the future of the arena will give its final report to the public next week.
