BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU limited Morehead State to just five second half field goals, including one in the first 8:52 of the period, en route to a 65-52 win over the Eagles on Sunday afternoon at E.A. Diddle Arena.
The Lady Toppers held Morehead State to just 34.9 percent from the field for the game as WKU overcame a deficit of eight points or more for the second time this season to win and for the seventh time in the Michelle Clark-Heard era. WKU trailed 14-6 following a three-point field goal by Morehead State with 13:38 left in the opening half.

Morehead State took a 14-6 lead early by hitting 4-of-6 three-point field goals in the first 6:21 of the ballgame. The Lady Toppers chipped away at the lead for much of the first half before using a 10-0 run to take a three-point deficit at 20-17 to a seven-point advantage at 27-20. Alexis Govan’s jumper from the top of the key at 4:04 gave WKU the lead at 21-20 and Jalynn McClain’s basket at 2:58 capped the third 10-0 run of the season for WKU.
Senior Bianca McGee had 15 points and Govan added 15 points to lead the Lady Toppers. In addition to McGee’s 15 points off the bench, redshirt freshman Kendall Noble had a career-best six points to help WKU post a 30-9 advantage in bench points for the contest.
