Bowling Green, Ky. - The Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced on Monday that the Oct. 29 football game between Western Kentucky University and Florida International will be televised on ESPN3.
The contest between the Hilltoppers and Panthers will originate from FIU Stadium in Miami, Fla., and will kick off at 5 p.m. (CDT). This marks the 11th televised game for WKU during the 2012 season, and fifth Hilltopper game to appear on ESPN3 this year.
Additionally, it was announced today that 105.3 FM in Bowling Green has been added to the radio lineup for the Hilltopper/IMG Sports Network for the remainder of the season. That station will also become the new home for Willie Taggart Radio Show each Monday beginning on Oct. 22. In addition to 105.3, fans in the Bowling Green area can continue to listen to all Hilltopper football games on 103.7 FM and 1450 AM during the 2012 season.
Sitting at 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Sun Belt Conference, the Hilltoppers return to Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium this Saturday (Oct. 20) to host Louisiana-Monroe in a 3 p.m. Homecoming contest on ESPN3. The Warhawks also sport a 2-0 league mark, and are 4-2 overall at the midway point of the season. Both teams are currently receiving votes in the USA Today Sports Coaches Poll, making Saturday's contest the first-ever Sun Belt matchup between two schools who are receiving Top 25 votes.
