Bowling Green, Ky. — A ninth televised game has been added to the 2012 Western Kentucky University football schedule. Next Saturday’s 6 p.m. (CDT) season opener against Austin Peay will be available exclusively on ESPN3.
It will be the third exclusive ESPN3 game for WKU during the 2012 season, joining the home contest against Southern Miss (Sept. 22) and the Sun Belt Conference opener at Arkansas State (Sept. 29). The Hilltoppers will now open the season with six straight televised games. In addition to the three ESPN3 games, WKU will appear on the SEC Network at Alabama Sept. 8, and have a pair of nationally televised ESPNU games at Kentucky (Sept. 15) and at Troy (Oct. 11) during that six-game stretch.
All three of WKU’s home games in November are also scheduled to be televised, beginning with a third ESPNU appearance against Middle Tennessee on Thursday, Nov. 1. Games against Florida Atlantic (Nov. 10) and North Texas (Nov. 24) will be televised on the Sun Belt Network.
