BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - With the opportunity to move closer to the school’s first 20-win season since 2009-10, WKU plays host to ULM on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in E.A. Diddle Arena. Just four regular season games remain in the 2012-13 season, including three at home. WKU still has home games on the schedule with South Alabama and Middle Tennessee following the game with ULM. The Lady Toppers currently own the best home record in the Sun Belt Conference at 6-1 in league play.
WKU (18-7, 11-5) owns one of the nation’s top turnarounds in 2012-13, winning nine additional games than the team finished with a year ago and 10 additional games than it had at this point last season. Tonight’s opponent, ULM (7-18, 5-11), has climbed up the conference standings by winning four of its last seven games after starting the season 3-14.
Earlier this season, WKU posted a 65-57 win over ULM in Monroe on Nov. 29. The Lady Toppers forced a season high 36 turnovers to overcome shooting just 33.3 percent in the game. Govan had a game-high 19 points while Gooch had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Jalynn McClain added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead WKU.
