The Dragons are on a current 11 game winning streak.
The Warren Central Dragons beat the Russell County Lakers 56-48 on Sunday inside E.A. Diddle Arena to win their ninth region title since 2000.
Leading the way for the Dragons was Chris Porter-Bunton who scored 15 points and grabbed three rebounds. Nay Walker scored 14 for the Dragons including four-three pointers.
Russell County was led by 4th region player of the year Tyler Robertson and his 14 points. Nick Coffey added 12 for the Lakers.
Warren Central will play Thursday in the Boy's Sweet 16 tournament at Rupp Arena against Montgomery County at noon eastern time, 11 a.m. central time.
Tickets go on sale Monday at Warren Central high school starting at 7:30 a.m. for students and faculty only, and then starting at 8 a.m. for the public.
Tickets will be sold in the grand foyer of the school.
