BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- Warren East High School linebacker/running back Eli Brown announced via Twitter Monday night he has verbally committed to Kentucky.
Both Scout.com and Rivals.com consider Brown a four-star prospect at linebacker. Rivals ranks him the eight best prospect in the country at his position.
Brown originally committed to Vanderbilt last summer, but re-opened his recruitment in October.
Brown is rehabbing an ACL injury he suffered late in his junior season, but his goal is to be ready to play week one this fall. He picked Kentucky over several top BCS programs including Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, and South Carolina.
