Kirk was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN, and attended college at Indiana University in Bloomington. After floating around school in different majors, Kirk finally realized that the one thing he enjoyed most was writing.
Upon this epiphany, he decided to turn his passion into a reality, and was accepted into IU's School of Journalism.
While working towards a degree in Broadcast, Kirk produced and directed programs for two local television stations. He graduated in the spring of '07, and left his Hoosier heritage for work in the Bluegrass State.
When he's not at WBKO, Kirk enjoys reading, writing, music, and working on his car. Though he now lives and works in Kentucky, Kirk will forever remain a diehard Hoosier basketball fan. Sorry.
