Jeff is originally from Florence, Kentucky (the city with the water tower...y'all). He attended Boone County High School and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2005 with a degree in Broadcast News. He was also a member of WKU's national champion forensics team.
Jeff arrived at WBKO in October 2005 as a news photographer. He joined the sports team in early 2006 and became a permanent fixture on WBKO's weekend newscasts later that summer. He is also the producer and co-host of the AP award-winning prep show The Sports Connection.
Jeff is thrilled to be covering his alma mater on a daily basis. His favorite memory at WBKO was traveling to Phoenix, Arizona to report on the Hilltoppers' Sweet 16 run in 2008. He has followed WKU Football to such venues as Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Navy and covered team USA's victory over Europe in the 2008 Ryder Cup at Valhalla.
Growing up in Cincinnati's backyard, Jeff is an avid Reds and Bengals fan. He grew up a UK fan, but his loyalties lie with the Hilltoppers. Some of Jeff's favorite sports memories include Ty Rogers' buzzer-beater against Drake, the Reds' 1990 World Series win, Dale Earnhardt's 1998 Daytona 500 victory, and anytime the Bengals win or the Steelers lose.
In his spare time, you can find Jeff watching sports of all things. He enjoys traveling to MLB stadiums and hopes to visit all of them someday. Jeff also likes playing racquetball and disc golf and loves a good episode of Family Guy and Modern Family.
