As you may recall, Clyde was at the forefront of the fight against the ABC television network to keep NYPD Blue from airing on TV stations that didn't want it, due to its sometimes graphic content. He even debated the issue on The Phil Donahue Show.
Because of Clyde's stance against the network and the publicity he brought to the issue of decency and community standards, the television industry instituted the ratings system we still use today.
We will officially celebrate WBKO-TV's 50th Anniversary Friday, and you're invited to join us with tours through the TV station from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. here at 2727 Russellville Road.
