It's being called the Facebook for athletes.

And its already creating quite a buzz on the Internet, introducing...weplay.

weplay.com is a social network for young athletes.

The future stars will be able to setup a profile, post pictures, talk to friends and share video games.

Parents can even join in on the action.

They'll be able to get practice schedules, organize car pools and find out which equipment to purchase.

Coaches aren't left out either.

They'll be able to communicate with their players and parents, as well as learn about strategy and other skills..

The site is expected to launch in April.

Will you use this site? Do you think it will be beneficial for athletes and their parents?

Finally...a social network for parents and our children. I think this will be great for any parent who has children involved in sports! I like the car pooling idea very much.
