Todd County Community Alliance “Bale Trail”

All day

All around Todd County
The Todd County Community Alliance is sponsoring the first annual “Bale Trail” across Todd County starting September 15th. The Alliance encourages you to “Explore Todd County” and the new Bale Trail is a great way to start your journey.

So what is the "Bale Trail"? Participants around Todd County will use hay and hay bales to create elaborate displays near the roadway. Just a few of the participants already signed up include Crossroads Animal Clinic near Guthrie, Kentucky with their display titled “Straw Creatures Great and Small.” And, Martin Industries in Elkton will create a display titled “Farmer in the Bale.” People will be able to drive around the county, view the displays and explore the beautiful Todd County countryside.

All displays must be completed by September 15th when a map of all the hay bale display locations will be posted at the ExploreToddCounty.com website. Participants are encouraged to keep the displays up until October 31st.

If you have any questions, or are interested in participating in the Bale Trail, please contact Linda Fowler at the Todd County Welcome Center at 270-265-7070.

Bowling Green Country Club
August 31, 2014, Bowling Green, KY . . . The Bowling Green Rotary Club announces its meeting topics for the month of September 2014.

September 3: Bart Badgett is the Account Executive for New Business and Group Sales for the Bowling Green Hot Rods. He is a graduate of George Washington University and has his Masters from the University of Louisville. He is also the "on field MC" for the Hot Rods. Bart will update us on the team and playoffs

The next year Adam received a Masters degree in Sports Administration at Wichita State University, where he also worked in the Shockers' athletic department as a group sales coordinator. Adam joined the Bowling Green Hot Rods in January 2014 following nine seasons with the Houston Astros AA Affiliate, the Corpus Christi Hooks. He was named Vice President in 2009.

September 10: Paul Hamblin is the CEO of The Bridge to Recovery located right here in Bowling Green. The Bridge to Recovery is a transformational residential program which specializes in healing individuals by addressing the core causes of anxiety, depression, and compulsive behaviors. The result is emotional recovery and a renewed enthusiasm for life. Paul has been working in the field of addictions for over 17 years. He has experience in admissions, intake, development, aftercare planning, case management, and marketing. Paul's passion is helping individuals and families who are struggling to get the help they need. He also served on the Museum's Board of Directors from 2001 to 2002. His Board term was supposed to be longer, but in 2002 he had the opportunity to become a full-time employee of the Museum team and jumped at the chance. September 24: Mr. James Graham, who is a personal friend of our club member, Dan Cherry, and is Past Rotary District Governor of Zone 30 in Indianapolis, will present, "The Legacy of Quadrat," the story of an Afghan child who was brought to the United States by Rotary District 6560 and the Indiana National Guard in an attempt to save the baby's life. The outcome and effort far exceeded the dreams of the Rotary Club and military participants.

Members of the news media are cordially invited to attend these meetings, enjoy lunch and hear and interview the speaker as time allows.

The Bowling Green Rotary Club was chartered in September 1920 and meets every Wednesday at noon at the Bowling Green Country Club, 251 Beech Bend Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101.
