Smiths Grove Lions Club Canoe & Kayak Race

Meeting at Three Forks Community Center on Highway 101, Warren County, KY
The Smiths Grove Lions Club is hosting their first Canoe & Kayak Race on July 11. This race is on Barren River from the 101 bridge at the Warren/Allen County line to Martinsville Ford. Registration begins at 7 at the Three Forks Community Center. The race begins at 9. There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Arts On Main Presents EMI SUNSHINE

Arts On Main Pavilion @ 201 East Main St. with adjacent rain locale @ Allen County Cooperative Extension Agency (200 East Main St.)
On Saturday June 13, the Allen County-Scottsville Arts Council will host the season premier of its 2015 Arts On Main summer concert series with a performance by Emi Sunshine.

On behalf of one of its youngest veterans, The Grand Ole Opry states, "It's impossible to explain the exceptional talents of EmiSunshine, a 10-year-old East Tennessee prodigy who has captured the nation's attention as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Steeped in Appalachian music, she is a true vocal stylist..."

This FREE and open to the public outdoor concert event will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Arts On Main pavilion at 201 East Main Street in historic downtown Scottsville KY, with an adjacent rain locale at the Allen County Cooperative Extension Agency (200 East Main Street). Bench seating is limited, so be sure to bring enough blankets and lawnchairs for the entire family.

Austin Tracy will host its first annual Spring Fling Festival and Craft Bazaar. Kid-friendly games, athletic events, and an easter egg hunt will be held.
