Local City and County Governments are eligible to receive more funding from FEMA in a "Hazard Mitigation" plan.
Kentucky Emergency Management Expert Leslie Mahoney and FEMA Mitigation Specialist Richard Flood will be meeting with local government officials at a B.R.A.D.D. board meeting later today.
"Hazard Mitigation" plans are set up as long term measures to reduce the risk of natural disasters in the future.
Also being discussed, a program Warren County and Bowling Green are a part of that would allow citizens to receive a discount for flood insurance.
