People in Fargo, North Dakota continue sandbagging, as the Red River there remains 22 feet above flood level.

The National Weather Service said the river crested Saturday just under 41 feet, and the water is slowly starting to recede.

Officials say residents should expect more breaches, and volunteers are working round the clock filling reserve sandbags.

It's work those on hand say, is paying off.

"Oh this is fantastic, it's fantastic, people you don't even know and you're working next to them," said one North Dakota resident.

The Red River remains at an all-time high and is putting pressure on miles of dikes in the area.
