If you don't have a plan, here are a few tips from Warren County's Emergency Management office.
Know where safe shelters are in your home.
Do not try to outrun the storm.
Find a ditch line, lie flat, and cover your head with your hands.
And have a disaster kit to survive up to 72 hours.
"Educate yourself on what can happen in your community," says WC Emergency Management Director Ronnie Pearson, "what you can do to protect your family, and to practice those plans, and put those in place to protect yourself."
