The goal of the event is to have community interaction between student-athletes, students, and the surrounding community coming together to support a good cause.

Established in 1982 by the American Library Association, “Banned Books Week” brings awareness to censorship, celebrating the freedom to read and underscoring the importance of free expression in literature.
Gov. Beshear held another news conference, his 3rd in the last few months, to announce budget proposals that will not be considered by the legislature until early 2024.
